Bus to Dreamland: Cancelled
💌 Letter No. 21 ~ Ideas of what to do when sleep has missed the bus.
Dear Powells,
Last night I went to bed as I usually do, at my usual time, approx. 10.30pm. With teeth cleaned, wearing fresh pyjamas and bed socks I slipped with joy in-between the sheets, which were warm from our new Dreamland heated mattress cover. I did a quick drawing in biro of an imaginary woman before I settled down with the intention of reading a few chapters of my current book. As is usual, after several seconds my eyes felt heavy, and so I plugged up one ear with an ear plug (I’ve lost the other) and turned off the light.
There was nothing to suggest that this night was going to be any different to any other, and I was delighted at the prospect of a full night’s sleep to ready me for a busy week ahead…
