Dear Powells,

What an exciting and full week it’s been! I had planned to write to you sooner but time has been marching on faster than I can keep up. How have the days separating my letters been? Jolly, I hope!

My To-Do list became a total shambles: it was desiccated into tiny pieces that fell around me like coconut flakes by the sudden–and URGENT need!– to find a magician for my wedding (Magic Duncan saved the day in the end) and by having two books out on one day. Both turned out to be more work than anticipated. Good magicians are, I discovered, hard to come by and promoting one book is work enough! Promoting two left me lying face down on the floor, surrounded by cut up cucumber but without the energy to place said cucumber on my eyes.
