Hi Claire! I’m sending loads of good and restful vibes to you! Well done for taking care of yourself! That’s the most important thing - the rest of the world can wait until you’re feeling stronger! Love your drawings, as always!! And impromptu is deffo the way to go, in my most humble opinion! X

Thanks for the feedback Ella! It’s weird because when I keep things impromptu I show up. When I schedule them i suddenly don’t - it’s as though the pressure to perform at a given time is less appealing!

Awwww Gardens! I have to admit that I don't like weeds, etc. but aren't flowers, etc. beautiful!? My favourite is just to paint them so you don't have to do anything in order for the flowers to be there. Although, it is rather fun to watch things grow. I think you should make your lives whenever you feel like it.

I must admit I’m having to get used to tending to the garden. I keep forgetting! I’ve never had one before, always lived in flats. We even have a pond! Luckily my friend is a gardener so she’s coming once a week to help me settle in.

You have a pond!!! VERY COOL! You'll get used to gardening I'm sure! I probably would like being out there gardening if this area didn't make me feel sooo bad. My grandfather loved it. Infact, because we have family that had farms, he did his best to grow things here! He grew grapes and little tomatoes. His garden is overgrown now though because my aunt or landlord doesn't like that stuff and won't accept help from anyone. I would have gone out there to clean up but she wouldn't allow me to. There's very little actual grass in the yard because it hasn't been taken care of properly. It's sad or I would be out there everyday. I used to want to live on a farm with lots of animals but I also wanted to live in NY and be a singer on-stage. Teens... *Laughs* I'm not that different today though. I just have no interest in singing. Anyway trust me, you'll love gardening! There are alot of rewards! Have you tried planting anything you can eat? You should pick one thing that is easy to keep up with and make a little section for it to grow. You could add it to your foods. I tell you, you'll love it! If you like spices, you can make a little spice garden. If you like tomatoes you can make a little area for them. You could also try grapes though. I tell ya...YUM!!!

Hi Claire, Iove your work, it's so loose and sketchy and has so much humour. I would definitely go for impromptu, if you 'have' to post at particular times it will create stress in so many ways. Impromptu ( the more I write that the odder the word looks 😂) will keep the fun going. I hope you feel better soon x

Oh I love your drawings ❤️ the little doggie with his/her ducky 🦆

sorry you’ve not been feeling well, I struggle with anxiety, I usually just suffer in silence but yesterday I decided to sign up with the talking therapy that the NHS offer.

Oh yes! The lives are always saved and emailed to paying subs and put up on my substack homepage. I'll restart them after this week as I'm away from home at the moment doing school visits!

Hi Claire,

This is so recognizable! For me it's like being hooked up on an invisible rollercoaster. All nice and calm on the outside. But on the inside it's all racing through wild loops and dives (which is fun, nice and hilarious but totally disturbing at the same time).

Screaming, flailing your arms, or making strange face gymnastics would definitely be in order.

Only thing is that those strange wild expressions would look tremendously stupid without a visible rollercoaster going in top gear..

Hope you'll get your rollercoaster in a nicer gear soon!

- Francis

Claire, tending a garden is a wonderful way to clear your head and ponder new and creative ideas. It’s so peaceful outdoors while helping things grow. The sun rejuvenates and is good for one’s soul. If you’re stressed, getting out in the garden beats vacuuming and dusting!

I do hope you find some relief and feel better soon. I’m enjoying all your drawings. I especially enjoy the horse and the angels on roller skates. Marvelous!

Impromptu’s have my vote. That way you can go live whenever you’re feeling inspired, not corralled into yet another scheduled obligation. That is-unless you find schedules helpful. - Take care of yourself first and the rest will take care of itself. I’ll pop on to watch you even if I’m at the store lol. Just not while driving. 😂
