Bloody hell that’s impressive! Congratulations on smashing through all those very exciting projects! It’s very exciting to hear there’s a Claire Powell author/illustrated book on the way!
Loving those pesky monsters! I salute you fellow Powell, for the last laugh. I have been illustrating a children’s book for 18 months and finished the final picture today… in my defence, I also work 30 hours a week counting beans, have three dogs, seven puppies, a husband and two school age children and a house to try and keep from falling down… I’m pretty sure it won’t earn its keep, as I’m a year past the deadline my author and I agreed… 🙈
Wow. That is a lot of work. No wonder you've been as frazzled as a bacon crisp! I hope you'll be enjoying some quality 'idle' time this month and giving your drawing hand (and indeed, writing hands) a nice rest.
Well done Claire!! Looking forward to seeing it all!! Now go and lie down again! X
Hahaha!
WOW! Way to go, Claire!
Haha! Thanks! Hopefully it won’t be repeated anytime soon 😅

Yes! I’m so excited about it. It publishes next February

Ahhhh don’t worry 😉 You finished it and that’s what counts. It’s impressive given all your other responsibilities!
Deadline monsters are REAL. I'm battling a scary one right now. The quality of my Substackery has suffered tremendously!
Oh yes, things like substack always suffer when the deadline monsters are about! Good Luck - you can do it!
